Academic Skills, Mentor and Humanities Specialist.
Julie works full time alongside Ann and specialises in Academic Coaching, TEFL and supporting students with learning challenges. She was a Senior Housemistress and Head of Boarding for over ten years and has expert knowledge of what schools are looking for and what parents and students need. She has expertise in counselling and pastoral support and has had great success integrating students new to boarding, into schools. Julie is focussed on students being able to thrive and will help them gain confidence and resiliance so they can flourish both academically and socially.
Her expertise includes working alongside pupils to prepare for interviews and for joining their new school or University, personal statement preparation, and study skills. She can also help with support with regards to sport, particularly in the area of high performance as Julie competed at a very high level in rowing, competing for both England and Scotland at International level and competing at Henley Royal Regatta.
Julie read History and Education at Homerton College, Cambridge and has a Master’s degree in Education Research from King’s College Cambridge.
